Prachuap gets new tourism chief, Chiang Mai flights hinted

PRACHUAP KHIRI KHAN: Ms Soraya Homchen began her tenure as the new director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Prachuap Khiri Khan office.

Hua Hin Today reported that the new chief, who just completed her four-year tenure as director of the TAT office in Mumbai, India, replaces outgoing TAT Prachuap director, Mrs Orasa Awuthkhom.

Ms Soraya, who will be based at TAT’s provincial office in Hua Hin, will serve her tenure to promote tourism to Prachuap Khiri Khan province over the next four years.

One of the priority areas she hinted at in her interview with Hua Hin today is increasing inbound flights to/from Hua Hin, starting with a domestic connection to Chiang Mai.

Currently Hua Hin Airport only has return flights to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, which is serviced by Air Asia.
