Bull sharks sighting confirmed off Prachuap coast, near Hua Hin

HUA HIN DISTRICT: The director of the Marine and Coastal Resources and Development Center of the central Thailand Gulf, confirmed the sighting of four bull sharks off the coast of Khao Tao Beach (หาดเขาเต่า), about 13 km south of the Hua Hin city center, or about 80 kilometers north of the tricove city.

The coastal cropping near where are bull sharks were sighted.

According to a report by Thai PBS, the sharks measured between 1 and 2 m long and are a sign of a healthy marine environment.

The sighting was made during an observation inspection prompted by a suspected shark attack on a Norwegian tourist,  as previously reported by the Bangkok Post.

Warning signs have since been placed on the beaches near the area.
