Last squatters to be evicted ahead of Hua Hin Station railway expansion

The iconic Hua Hin railway station will continue services as usual as a new building is constructed.

HUA HIN CITY MUNICIPALITY: The Deputy Governor of Prachuap Khiri Khan province has prioritized eviction of remaining  squatters occupying some 700 households in 18 communities along sections of railway track in Hua Hin municipality.

Prachuap gets new tourism chief, Chiang Mai flights hinted

PRACHUAP KHIRI KHAN: Ms Soraya Homchen began her tenure as the new director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Prachuap Khiri Khan office.

Hua Hin Today reported that the new chief, who just completed her four-year tenure as director of the TAT office in Mumbai, India, replaces outgoing TAT Prachuap director, Mrs Orasa Awuthkhom.

Dead dolphins wash ashore in Prachuap, Nakhon Si

KHAO TAKIEP, HUA HIN: The Thai News Agency on December 17 reported on two separate dolphin carcasses found washed up on the beach – one in Tha Sala district of Nakhon Si Thammarat, and one in Hua Hin district of Prachuap Khiri Khan.

Prachuap, Phetburi police show off drug, weapons raid booty

CHA-AHM POLICE STATION: In the first two weeks of December 2018, police in Phetchaburi and Prachuap Khiri Khan provinces made 89 drug or weapons related arrests, seizing guns and drugs, in addition to amulets, gold, mobile phones, motorbikes and assets worth nearly 700,000 THB.

According to Ban Muang news, senior police officers from the two Western Thailand provinces on December 14 staged a press conference to reveal booty from raids that took place between 1-14 December. 

 The booty included 4,693 meth pills (yaba), 9.86 grams of crystal meth (ya ice), 87 grams of dried cannabis, 25 guns (pistols and rifles), five motorbikes, 11 mobile phones, four Buddhist amulets, THB 58,500 worth of gold, and THB 693,920 worth of undisclosed assets.
