TriCoveCity.com aims to provide news and information – in English and Thai – about the “Tri-Cove-City” area, which refers to the city or provincial district of Prachuap Khiri Khan province in Western Thailand. Here you will find facts and news related to population, development, infrastructure, real estate, services, sports, crime education and environment.
Nicknamed in Thai, “Muang Saam Ao” เมืองสามอ่าว, which translates to “Town of Three Bays”, Prachuap is a prime and promising up-and-coming destination for keen weekenders, wanderers, expats and investors alike.
Though the city of Prachuap proper may still appear on the surface to be a sleepy fishing town, it is a “Sleeping Giant” ripe for a major growth spurt. Many factors fuel this potential — coming high-speed rail, expansion of Hua Hin as an aviation hub, and the imminent upgrade of nearby Dan Singkhon border checkpoint into a permanent international checkpoint, to name a few.
Will the Tri Cove City be the next Pattaya, Phuket or Hua Hin?
Not any time soon, In fact I am confident that in the coming decade years, the Prachuap will continue to serve as an ideal coastal respite for expats and residents based in the three aforementioned destinations, who need a break from the hustle and bustle.
After all, the Tri Cove City represents what those places represented years ago, and can still offer a lot of the good of what those cities can no longer. But it won’t remain the same “sleepy town” that many would hope it to be.
Already the provincial district boasts 90,000+ people and domestic and international funds are flowing into this region in increasing sums.
It is thus important to ensure the coming inflows and subsequent growth are sustainable.
This can be achieved more effectively through ensured transparency and clarity of news and information flow.
